With spring break rapidly approaching, area parents are beginning to plan for the big question: “What will I do with my child when they are out of school on break?” If you haven’t done so already, following is a list of spring break camp programs in and around Ann Arbor. I will add to the list as additional camp opportunities are brought to my attention!
Ann Arbor Community Education & Recreation Spring Break Camps
April 5-9, 2010 ~ 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Children in grades K-9 can join in for art, writing, trading cards & soccer camps running daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. - Before and after care is also available! For locations, prices and further information be certain to check out the Ann Arbor Community Education Spring Break Camps webpage.
Spring Break Camp With Project Healthy Schools
April 13 to 17 ~ 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Session A: K/1st grade, Session B: 2nd and 3rd grade, Session C: 4th and 5th grade
Walk in the woods, frolic in the fields, or poke around local ponds to fill your spring break with area natural wonders - Other activities include outdoor games, survival skills and explorations on the wet and wild side. Ypsilanti Township Parks and Recreation Under the BIG Top - Spring Break Camp
April 5-9, 2010 ~ 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Spend the spring break with us and explore the life of a Circus Star. We have many activities planned that will generate excitement and involvement all revolving around “The Circus”. The final day of camp will end with all of the campers participating in a real circus performance, under the guidance of Cirque Amoungus. Complete with all the acts, makeup and costumes that make a circus so much fun, only this time it will be your child as the star!! Performance time on the last day is 4:30. High Velocity Sports in Canton offers camps by the day during school breaks. Our All-Sport Camp includes an array of activities including soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, dodge ball, kickball, and much more. Soccer and Basketball camps are also available for half-day mornings April 2, 5-9.
Summer Kampers in Ann Arbor also appears to offer “Break Camps” although their website did not provide enough information.
